About Us
The Natalia Story
Villa Natalia first opened its doors in the summer of 1989, when Maria and Nikos welcomed their very first guests to this modest family home on the shores of Kalami Bay. What began as a simple dream — sharing the beauty of their beloved corner of Corfu with visitors from around the world — quickly became a way of life, and a commitment that has endured for more than three decades. Kalami was chosen not by chance, but by heart. This quiet bay on the northeastern coast of Corfu, made famous by the writer Lawrence Durrell, offered something increasingly rare: untouched natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and the kind of unhurried pace that allows guests to truly slow down and rest. For the family, it was simply home — and that is exactly what they wanted to share. Over the decades, hospitality became woven into the very fabric of family life at Villa Natalia. Children grew up greeting guests at the door, helping to prepare breakfasts, and learning that every arrival deserved a warm and genuine welcome. Generations passed, and with them came new ideas, new energy, and new rooms — but always the same spirit of care that has defined the villa from the very beginning. Since those early years, much has changed: new suites were added, the villa was lovingly renovated, and the world of travel transformed around us. Yet what has never changed is the soul of Villa Natalia — a sincere care for every guest who walks through our door, an honest pride in this extraordinary place, and a deep belief that the best hospitality always feels a little like coming home.
